Research Interests
Rui Baptista is an international adjunct faculty member with SDS; he is also an Associate Professor of Entrepreneurship and Technological Change at the Department of Engineering Management at the Instituto Superior Técnico (Lisbon, Portugal), and Senior Research Fellow of the Max Planck Institute of Economics (Jena, Germany). He is also Coordinator of the Laboratory of Technology Policy and Management of Technology, Center for Innovation, Technology and Policy Research, IN+.

Baptista's research and teaching focus mainly on the subjects of entrepreneurship, technological innovation, industry and labor dynamics, and their relationship with economic growth and regional development.
